- The National Association of State
Credit Union Supervisors (NASCUS) is a pro-active organization
dedicated exclusively to influencing issues which adversely impact state chartered credit
unions and their supervisors. Its mission is to strengthen state chartered credit unions
and to vigorously support the dual chartering system.
- The North Carolina Credit Union Network (NCCUN) is a trio of organizations consisting of the North Carolina Credit Union
League, Credit Union Service Corporation and First Carolina Corporate Credit Union and is
headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina.
- The Credit Union National Association (CUNA), based in Washington D.C., and Madison, Wisconsin, is the national trade
association serving credit unions. The not-for-profit trade group is governed by volunteer
directors who are elected by their credit union peers.
- The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) is a
Federal government agency responsible for administering the National Credit Union Share
Insurance Fund (NCUSIF).
- The World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU)
is an international organization of credit unions and similar financial institutions. Its
mission is to organize, expand, improve and integrate credit unions and related
institutions as effective instruments for the economic and social development of people
throughout the world.
- The Association of Corporation Credit Unions (ACCU) is a national trade
organization of corporate credit unions. Its mission is to create and maintain a climate of safety, soundness, innovation and unity among
corporate credit unions in order to promote and enhance the initiatives of the credit union movement.
- U.S. Central is the wholesale
financial center for the nations corporate credit unions. Chartered in 1974 to
complement corporate credit unions ability to provide liquidity. It is owned and
directed by corporate credit unions.
